Five Steps to Finding the Right Fit
- Identify the connection type required—static inline, static offset, vibrating, or oscillating.
- Measure the total space available for the two connection points to avoid a too-tight or too-loose fit.
- Determine the diameter of all connection points. Accurate diameters ensure a secure, airtight connection.
- Align any offsets/straighten any angles where possible to maintain the integrity of the BFM® connector. Misaligned connections can lead to leaks and inefficiency.
- When looking at offsets and movement, measure during machine start-up and shutdown. Measuring will help you record the maximum movement. Next, measure maximum movement/offset from a fixed point in one direction.
